Public Input Opportunities


May 24 | FY 2012-13 Budget Public Hearing

Comments can be made to the City Council on any aspect of the budget including property tax rates, water and sewer rates, and sanitation fees. Public input sessions are set for May 24, June 7 and 21. Two additional hearings will be held to comment on the proposed budget following the budget retreat in August. Adoption of the budget is scheduled for Sept. 20. All hearings are at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. The city’s budget year runs from Oct. 1 to Sept. 30. Call the City Secretary’s Office at (972) 721-2493 to confirm hearing dates.

July 12 | FY 2012-13 Action Plan Public Hearing (Housing and Human Services Department)

The Housing and Human Services Department will host a public hearing at 7 p.m. July 12 at the City Council Meeting at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. Public input will be used to help create the 2012-13 Action Plan submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the city’s federal funding request. HUD funding helps provide housing and social services for low- to moderate-income Irving families.
