Irving Animal Services responds to calls for service only within the City limits. We provide services to the residents of Irving for the following:

  • Aggressive Animals
  • Stray Animals
  • Animal Cruelty
  • Animal Bites
  • Nuisances
  • Wildlife/Exotic Animals
  • Loose Livestock
  • Deceased Animal Pickup

If you are having a problem in your neighborhood, or witness any of the above violations, please call our office at (972) 721-2256. Please give a detailed description, with the breed, color and size of the animal, as well as an address or exact location where the violation is taking place. We respond to calls based upon the priority and severity of the call.

Examples of Emergency Calls

  • Aggressive or Dangerous dogs that are at large: Behavior includes any dog at large which exhibits a threatening act, attacks another animal, bites or attacks a person and if the likelihood exists it is an imminent danger to the public.
  • Wild Animals: Skunks, snakes, opossums, or any other urban wildlife which is not considered domesticated would be an emergency if it is inside the complainant's residence.
  • At-Large Livestock: Loose livestock on major streets would be an emergency. Please contact Dallas County Sherrif's Department at (214) 749-8641.
