Winters in Texas can mean anything from cold rain to black ice, but rarely include the fluffy white snow seen up north. In January 2017 the City of Irving hosted the inaugural Frost Fest, a free winter festival offering an opportunity to indulge in several fun activities. Over 3,000 people enjoyed the snow tubing hill, snow play area, ice sculpture demonstration and more. The Irving Public Library provided story readings, puppet shows and crafts, while all ages took advantage of the skating rink, train rides and inflatable snow globe.
Frost Fest will return to Cimarron Park in January 2018. Check back for details about the event!
